Are you…

Taylor recently lost their parents. While going through all their financial records they found that their parents had been very diligent savers and hadn’t shared much about their financial picture. Taylor feels overwhelmed over how to manage the different types of accounts from their parents, as well as how to navigate when to take distributions from the different accounts, and what it might mean for Taylor’s tax situation. Additionally, Taylor is frustrated that their parents never fully appreciated the wealth that came from their efforts, and Taylor wants to both honor their parents’ memory while also living the life they want to live. Taylor is looking for help with the emotional transition of losing their parents, as well as guidance on how to move forward in a way that makes them feel fulfilled.

Shannon and Morgan are in their mid-50s and wanting to make sure they are ready for retirement. Shannon has worked for the state for the last 20 years and Morgan has worked for a small non-profit, and they are looking forward to spending more time together doing what they love. Never having been comfortable with investments, both have relied on the advisors brought in by their employers to help them choose options within their retirement plans. They briefly had an advisor when they were in their 40s, but were concerned that he was too interested in the commissions he was getting, rather than whether or not the investments were good for their lives. They feel good about how well they’ve done with their finances and are proud to have sent their kids through college, but now they want to make sure they can enjoy their retirement and also hand off the investment research to someone they trust.

Quinn is in their early 40s and recently divorced. Their former spouse had managed most of their finances and Quinn has little interest in managing their new financial situation following the divorce settlement. Still, even if they don’t want to actively manage their accounts, they’d still like to understand how their finances and their life work together. Additionally, Quinn is struggling to define where they want their life to go now, and to figure out who they are without their partner. They are looking for guidance through this transition as well as someone to help organize their finances and to help them choose their new path in life.
