Maybe you’re looking at a few transitions in life, from changing jobs, to starting a family, to facing retirement, and you’d love to have someone by your side to help you maneuver through all these changes.
Maybe you’re realizing that you’ve got a lot on your plate, and you’d love to hand things off to someone else who can both help you manage your finances, while also helping you focus on and support those interests that are most important to you.

Shannon and Morgan are in their mid-50s and wanting to make sure they are ready for retirement. Shannon has worked for the state for the last 20 years and Morgan has worked for a small non-profit, and they are looking forward to spending more time together doing what they love. Never having been comfortable with investments, both have relied on the advisors brought in by their employers to help them choose options within their retirement plans. They briefly had an advisor when they were in their 40s, but were concerned that he was too interested in the commissions he was getting, rather than whether or not the investments were good for their lives. They feel good about how well they’ve done with their finances and are proud to have sent their kids through college, but now they want to make sure they can enjoy their retirement and also hand off the investment research to someone they trust.
Ready to get things in order
Quinn is an author in their early 40s and their books are really starting to get noticed. After getting divorced in their mid-30s, they met Alexis a few years later. Even though they are planning their lives together, Quinn is still a bit burned from the divorce and they have decided to keep their finances separate for now. Since Alexis has had a few promotions in their company, Quinn knows that when they are ready to combine their incomes, they’ll both be in a good position looking forward. Being an author, Quinn is used to unpredictable income and has managed their own investments since their divorce in order to save money. Now that their career is taking off, they are realizing they just don’t have the time they used to. They also realized they spent far too much time fretting over where the market might go, and then had pulled all their money out of investments right before things started going up again. They decided it was time to focus on their writing and wanted to find an adviser who shared their environmental values and could focus their investments appropriately.
Looking for in-depth planning
Jamie and Taylor are recently married. They are interested in joining their finances and having coordinated management of their investments. Each came into the relationship having established careers already, with Jamie as a physician and Taylor teaching high school. While they felt confident in their finances separately, they realized they’d never really talked about what they were each bringing into the relationship and have no idea how to even start the conversation. They are looking for a Life Planning approach to help them discover more about each other, what’s important to them, and how they can move forward with a joint vision for the future.
